Great Ambience

Amazing views & great ambience with cool breezes making eating experience more delightful

Jaws Kamath, the founder of the Kumaoni Farm Café was a passionate foodie, outstanding Chef and an avid explorer of food who travelled all over Kumaon to bring in curated authentic Kumaoni food. We lost him to a mishap however his legacy continues with Friends of Jaws making sure that the Café that he dearly loved is managed with the same passion.

Apart from the delicious food, we always strive to make our guests' experience special. Therefore, we always make clear disclosure about the 400mt hill path that you need to negotiate to reach up to the Cafe. In the Gallery section you will images that clearly indicate the terrain. So, when you make your reservation for your KFC experience, please bear in mind the hike - which also is part of the experience.

Continuing with our efforts to plant and propagate mostly mixed varieties, this year we did Mulberry ( Shehtoot/Kimua), Himalayan Cedar (Deodar), Morpankhi ( from the Cypress family), Black Bamboo, Sandalwood, etc. The count of trees now at the farm is more than 2000 and hopefully, within the next couple of years our endeavor of creating a green canopy on this part of the hill above Mehragaon, which otherwise had become completely barren, should be achieved.

Despite the lockdown, the Kumaoni Farm Cafe (KFC) continues its passion for growing fresh and organically grown seasonal veggies. Here we have a whole load of greens - the fav pahaari "Oogal" - Buckwheat Greens, Lettuce, Spinach, Red Cabbage, Broccoli.

Farm to Table in Lockdown times!
